ABOUT THE ROLE
The Operations Controller of Document Destruction Service oversees all operational activities of the TIMG Highbrook branch, ensuring efficient document destruction processes, adherence to service standards, and client satisfaction. Manage team performance, training, and resource allocation. Maintain high standards for facilities, fleet, and equipment, while driving process improvements and ensuring compliance with company policies and safety protocols. Foster a positive team culture and achieve operational objectives effectively.
KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:
The role’s responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Ensure efficient operations of the TIMG Highbrook branch, meeting scheduled deadlines and maintaining operational resources.
- Supervise and develop staff, ensuring appropriate training, staffing levels, and performance management, including addressing misconduct promptly.
- Manage team rosters, leave entitlements, and staff adherence to Health and Safety policies, fostering a culture of safety.
- Regularly review and improve manual and system processes to enhance efficiency, accuracy, and service quality.
- Maintain impeccable presentation and functionality of branch facilities, vehicles, and equipment, ensuring compliance with service and security standards.
- Proactively resolve operational issues, reporting actionable solutions and outcomes to the Site Supervisor within specified timelines.
- Maintain accurate, up-to-date records and prepare necessary operational and performance reports, including incident and audit reports.
- Oversee site security and ensure alignment with company specifications and quality management standards.
- Promote a strong health and safety culture by supporting incident investigations, hazard identification, and completing audits promptly.
- Execute additional tasks as required to achieve company objectives, while adhering to all company policies and fostering continuous improvement.

- Comprehensive knowledge of computer applications, including familiarity with Safe Document Destruction Service (DDS).
- Demonstrates strong problem-solving and decision-making skills in dynamic environments.
- A sound understanding of the Health and Safety in Employment Act and related regulations, with a focus on fostering a safe workplace.
- Willingness to manage and stand by for two shifts, covering early-morning or late-night shift as operational needs demand.
- Strong attention to detail and a proactive approach to machine maintenance, ensuring operational efficiency.
