Job Description

New Shoots Westgate is currently looking for an experienced, fun, and passionate unqualified ECE teacher to join our team. Working with our youngest children, you will need to have plenty of experience working in an infants room in an ECE setting. You will also have a very strong knowledge around calm and unhurried care moments and routines.

Set in the growing West Auckland community of Westgate and Massey, you’ll find the bespoke and beautiful New Shoots Early Childhood Centre. Native bush on one side and a new subdivision just across the road, it’s the perfect place for families to find their children’s home away from home.

We are looking for an lead teacher with:

  • A kind, genuine, caring nature with a calm and loving approach
  • Strong knowledge around curriculum, pedagogy and observation
  • A fun, creative imagination and a passion for engaging with children through play and exploration
  • The ability to create a close knit and cohesive team
  • Experience in a RIE/Pikler inspired centre
  • The ability to see strengths in their teammates and encourage a cohesive and collaborative team culture.
