The Role

As a result of continued success and growth, BFM Global is seeking a Maintenance Engineer. Reporting to the Engineering Manager, you will join a high-performing team responsible for maintaining and optimising equipment across all departments. Your primary focus will be on minimising downtime and ensuring smooth production operations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct preventative maintenance to ensure equipment reliability
• Troubleshoot and resolve mechanical faults efficiently
• Commission and set up new machinery
• Perform general machining and welding tasks
• Oversee building repairs and maintenance
• Conduct overhauls and repairs of production machinery
• Test and assist in the development of new products

To excel in this role, you will have:

• A trade certification as a Fitter, Fitter & Welder, or in Maintenance Engineering
• A minimum of 5 years experience in engineering maintenance within a manufacturing environment
• Knowledge of pneumatics/hydraulics and the ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and documentation
• A proactive and solutions-focused approach with a commitment to continuous improvement
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team
• Flexibility to assist with shift work, if required
