We have an exciting opportunity to join our Procurement team as a Procurement Associate. This is a fixed term opportunity until the end of September 2025.

Mō te tūranga | About the Role
Reporting directly to the Manager Tactical Procurement, you will be responsible for supporting commercial and procurement activities, improving procurement processes with suppliers and business units; and working with the business stakeholders to reduce cost, improve sustainability and maximise value.
You will lead on lower value deals within the technology and corporate services portfolios, ensuring that deals are completed in line with the end-to-end procurement lifecycle from sourcing to signing.
You will also ensure that any activities or procurement processes meet regulatory and Westpac Group requirements and ensure that any risks are escalated appropriately. You will create strong relationships with business partners and stakeholders to help deliver on business and customer needs as efficiently and timely as possible.

- Experience working within the financial service industry or similar regulated environment (preferred)
- Contract management and negotiation
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
