Mō te tūnga | About the role

MLT Investigators work on complex and challenging investigations at the higher end of criminal offending. The role of File Manager will support and enhance our investigations. They will work closely with the investigation teams and be immersed in the investigations. You will maintain a comprehensive knowledge of the file over the life of the investigation and prosecution.

You will be based on level one at 323 Great South Road, Auckland and report to the Detective Senior Sergeant position. MLT has a flat and approachable management structure and a consultative work environment where everyone is encouraged to contribute.

Key Accountabilities:

  • Structure and manage large and complex electronic files.
  • Utilise IMT to enhance the management of the file, property, disclosure and administrative functions.
  • Enable investigators to locate documents and relevant intelligence efficiently.
  • Liaise with our Intel unit, district staff, CMC, ARU, Surveillance and Covert groups.
  • Conduct inter-agency liaison with the Crown, Customs, and the Telco’s.
  • Communicate relevant information with the investigation team.
  • Understand the need for and practice operational security.

Utu ā-tau | Salary

This position is covered by a collective agreement and salary will commence between $80,295 and $83,973 dependent on skills and experience relevant to the role.
