The Role
- An exciting and challenging opportunity to contribute to the success of the planning team and the growth of the organisation and the district.
- Will play a crucial role in shaping the future of the district by facilitating responsible development while ensuring compliance with regulations.
- Administer the District Plan and ensure that statutory responsibilities under the Resource Management Act 1991, statutes and regulations are met.
- This role will process complex resource consents for compliance with the District Plan.
About You
- Extensive knowledge of the Resource Management Act, particularly on resource and subdivision contents
- 5+ years practical experience in resource management consent processing
- Effective time management skills
- Excellent skills and proficiency in a range of computer systems and software, and electronic record management systems
- Experience in applying engineering standards and codes to subdivisions consent conditions
- Proven report writing and confident communication skills
- Competence in preparing evidence and presenting at hearings
- The ability to embrace change and continuous improvement
- The ability to provide planning advice, support and guidance to colleagues and management staff within the organisation, and to ratepayers and members of the public.
