About the role
The Head Greenkeeper role manages the maintenance and preparation of turf management practices at the Berhampore Golf Course, to a high standard. This position has full responsibility for staff and volunteers when required. This is a fixed term role ending 22nd of August 2025.
What you will bring to the role
Strong demonstrable knowledge of and experience in:
Managing and maintaining and golf courses to a high standard
Planning and supervising turf maintenance programmes and projects
Project management
A high level of competence with modern greenkeeping equipment
Staff supervision
Contractor management
Training and assessing for NZ Qualifications
Computer and Microsoft Office experience
You will also need to have a Level 4 National Certificate in Turf Management (or equivalent industry experience), a Grow Safe Certificate and a NZ Drivers Licence.
There is a requirement to be physically fit for this role and applicants must be prepared to undergo pre-employment health, fitness, and drug screening and will as a Ministry of Justice check.
