WHAT WE NEED FROM YOU: As a Light Diesel Mechanic, you'll be responsible for:
Inspecting, diagnosing, and repairing all areas of commercial vehicles, with a focus on brakes, suspension, and engine repairs.
Performing routine maintenance and preventative services on vehicles.
Conducting diagnostic tests using specialized tools and equipment.
Troubleshooting and addressing mechanical issues efficiently.
Replacing faulty parts and components as required.
Completing Pre-COF checks.
Maintaining accurate records of work and parts used.
Ensuring that all repairs and maintenance meet safety and quality standards.
Working collaboratively with the team to ensure smooth operations.
Keeping up to date with advancements in diesel technology and repair techniques.
SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:
Minimum of 5-7 years of mechanical experience, specifically working on light commercial trucks and diesel vehicles.
Expertise in diagnostics, engine repair, and suspension/brake systems.
Level 4 qualification preferred (but not essential).
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Experience with dual rear-wheeler trucks is advantageous.
Ability to fit tyres on both passenger and commercial vehicles is a plus.
