As a Disability Coordinator, you’ll play a vital role in supporting individuals with high, complex needs to achieve their goals and aspirations. This dynamic position involves hands-on interaction, fostering trusting relationships with clients and their families, and facilitating engaging activities within our vocational program.

  • This is a fixed term 1 year mat leave cover role, permanent full-time hours | 8:30am – 4:30pm – includes a company car for work purposes only.
  • We also have a permanent part time role available– Monday & Thursday 8:30am -4:30pm –

Skills and Experience We’re Looking For:

  • Advocacy and mediation skills
  • Experience in disability support and working with high complex needs clients.
  • Cultural sensitivity and willingness to promote opportunities for Māori and Pasifika
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills
  • Basic knowledge of New Zealand Sign Language (preferred but not required)
  • Willing to plan daily activities, greet clients, engage with them directly in activities, and provide support with toileting and feeding as needed
