We’re committed to providing exceptional support services for our clients and looking for an experienced, empathetic and outgoing Support Workers to join our team and work with one of our MFC clients having Möbius syndrome/Moebius syndrome based in Dunedin.
As a Support Worker, you will provide essential care and support to individuals with unique needs contributing to their overall wellbeing to lead fulfilling lives.
Key Requirements:
- Qualification in Healthcare, disability support or related field will be preferred
- Competency in First Aid, Suctioning, MIC-KEY and medication
- Competency in PEG Feed
- Previous paediatric experience
- Own transport with a clean and valid Restricted/Full driver’s license
- Legitimate NZ work rights
- A clean Police check
Available Shifts:
- 2 days per week 3pm-5.30pm (with the opportunity to pick up more shifts as they become available)
Responsibilities:
- Assist with after school cares such as personal care, bathing, PEG feeding
- Monitor breathing
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals and family members to ensure comprehensive care, developmental therapies and medication
- Mobility, positioning, grooming, and general home help
