Are you ready to take your QA career to the next level? If you’re passionate about quality, love working in Agile environments, and thrive on variety, this role is for you!
At Foodstuffs North Island, we’re not just looking for a “tester” – we’re after a quality champion who will play a key role in ensuring our Agile Delivery Squads consistently deliver top-notch results. You'll be at the heart of quality assurance, collaborating closely with your squad, while also shaping and improving QA practices across the company. Think writing test plans, functional testing, automating complex technical integrations... all before lunch!
What You’ll Be Doing:
- Active Squad Member – Collaborate, communicate, and contribute to sprint completion, stepping beyond the usual tester role.
- Lead Testing Efforts – Design and execute small, punchy Test Plans, navigating complex business requirements and technical challenges like interfaces and web services.
- Automation-First Approach – Help us drive towards automation excellence by building and refining test automation harnesses.
- Innovator – Stay ahead by evaluating and implementing new testing technologies that help us deliver even faster and better.
- Advocate for Quality – Lead the charge on quality delivery, ensuring the integrity of our test environments and logging defects with clear detail.
- Continuous Improvement – Help shape the future of our QA Strategy and share your insights with the broader QA Practice.

He kōrero mōu - About You:
You will have strong experience in Agile environments and be familiar with Scrum, Kanban, and best testing practices. You’re a problem-solver with excellent communication skills and a passion for quality delivery. Along with this you will also have:
- Expertise in Web, API, and Mobile test automation frameworks like Playwright, Selenium, Cypress, Appium, and more.
- Scripting know-how – you’re comfortable with Java, JavaScript/Typescript.
- Solid understanding of CI/CD pipelines and tools like Bamboo, GitHub, and Bitbucket.
Bonus Points for:
- Experience in DevOps practices and digital e-commerce.
- Previous work in the retail or grocery industry.
