Role | Mō tēnei tūranga mahi Join our forensic residential service supporting tangata whaiora on their journey from inpatient services to living in the community. The forensic service is a high needs service, so you'll need to be able to build strong relationships with tangata whaiora and their whanau.
What does a Support Worker do? You’ll work alongside individuals to support their recovery, improve their wellbeing and to live a life that’s meaningful to them. So you might be assisting them with meal prep and clean-up and other daily living tasks, working on an activity, and assisting with medication where required.
You’ll also
Focus on the individuals needs and provide culturally safe practice.
Complete relevant administrative tasks, take comprehensive notes, provide effective handovers to the next shift, and support and collaborate with your colleagues.
You’ll be working Sunday and Monday, 7am to 3.30pm, based in Christchurch.
About You | Mōu You’ll believe in using a person-centered approach, and the positive benefits of working in a recovery focused way.
You will either hold the NZ Certificate in Health and Wellbeing Level 4 or above (or a recognised equivalent).
