About the role | Mō te Tūranga
Reporting to the Head of Digital - Security and Risk, this is a genuine opportunity to influence change and drive/own the cyber security architecture strategy for a specific program of work that looks to transform and improve the way we engage digitally with our customers. Working closely with your counterparts in Australia at group level, this is a critical role is also key to securing controls across our digital enterprise and underpinning our continued growth and success as a leading digital retailer..
Our new Security Architect will be a senior level technologist - establishing relationships and credibility across not only technical, but non-technical teams including executives. You will guide and influence using Cyber Security design principles and best practice to achieve consistency and compliance to global standards. Specifically, you will be required to :
- Coordinate cyber security architecture engagement with the cyber security consulting team to cover new and inflight Digital projects to perform architecture and design reviews with focus on Cyber Security.
- Work with the Digital teams and with other risk functions to identify security requirements using Cyber Security design principles and industry good practices.
- Acquire a complete understanding of the Woolworths Digital Technology systems and application landscape and assess from a cybersecurity perspective
- Provide security architecture guidance to Digital projects, with a focus on Cloud deployments and Enterprise outcomes
- Produce security design that meets business requirements and is compliant with cyber security policy and standards
- Consulting services on architecture and design of solutions, as well as developing Patterns and standards with enterprise teams
- Work with Digital development teams and Cyber Security teams to implement technical controls and security services

You love technology. You are deeply in touch with innovation particularly in the Cyber Security Architecture and Cloud technology space. You are an energised, collaborative and customer oriented individual. A technical evangelist and change agent who thrives on challenge, you can also point to success in cultural as well as technology transformation. We need someone who is pragmatic who can effectively build and maintain meaningful working relationships and someone astute enough to navigate interdependencies within complex large-scale corporate settings.
To be considered, your experience will likely reflect:
- Hands on experience in the architecture and design of security technologies (such as SailPoint, Splunk, Tenable, Crowdstrike, CSPM), with a particular focus on Cloud security and secure DevOps practices
- Strong understanding of cyber security technology products, solutions and risks for eCommerce, Cloud Services, DevSecOps
- The ability to influence people and outcomes through collaboration, logic and communication
- Driving cybersecurity services and business outcomes
- In-depth knowledge and understanding of cybersecurity concepts and principles
- Ability to convey and translate complex scenarios and solutions to a wider non-IT business
- Methodical and analytical approach to problem solving and troubleshooting
- Ability to conduct an analysis of a business needs, formulate written business requirements, identify and resolve issues
- Ability to manage multiple tasks/projects and deadlines simultaneously as well as documentation skills in project requirements, design and testing
- Understanding of other related security products and solutions will be advantageous
- Conducting preliminary analyses of requirements for new or enhanced systems, as it relates to cyber security outcomes
- Proficient in agile methodology and CI/CD
