Are you passionate about connecting people and creating memorable experiences? NZME is looking for a proactive Event Sales Consultant to join our Palmerston North Events team.

THE OPPORTUNITY: If you're ready to take your sales skills to the next level and be part of some of the most exciting events in New Zealand, this opportunity is for you! As an Event Sales Consultant, you'll play a pivotal role in driving our events' success. Your mission is to sell exhibitor sites across our diverse portfolio, helping us deliver unmissable experiences. You’ll be responsible for building relationships with new and existing clients, ensuring they have a seamless and rewarding experience from start to finish.

HOW YOU'LL DO IT:

  • Sales Excellence: Meet quarterly sales targets through phone, email, and in-person pitches. You’ll lead the sales approach for selected events, maintaining consistent sales across all.
  • Client Relationship Management: Develop a solid database of exhibitors, nurture productive relationships, and maximize repeat business through stellar customer service.
  • Event Support: Attend selected events across the country, helping with setup and client management on-site, ensuring every exhibitor and attendee enjoys a positive experience.
  • Industry Awareness: Stay updated on industry trends and competitor events to spot new opportunities and stay ahead of the curve.


ABOUT YOU: You’ll bring 1-2 years of sales experience, thrive on cold calling, and are motivated to reach ambitious goals. With strong communication skills and a proactive approach, you're organised, adaptable, and ready to make an impact. As a tech-savvy, solutions-oriented team player, you balance multitasking with a commitment to excellence. Your ability to problem-solve and foster collaborative teamwork will help elevate NZME Events.
