About the role
This Hawke's Bay based dealership is seeking a skilled Automotive Parts Advisor to join their dynamic team.

This role is ideal for someone passionate about automotive parts, customer service, and building relationships with trade clients, retail customers, and technicians.

Key responsibilities

• Accurately interpret and supply, mechanical hard parts, panel parts, accessories and aftermarket products to meet customer needs
• Deliver exceptional service across, retail sales, trade sales, and internal technical teams
• Utilise dealership management systems relevant to parts supply for ordering, inventory control, and invoicing
• Develop new business opportunities by proactively engaging customers and promoting parts/services
• Manage stock levels, conduct regular audits, and coordinate with suppliers for timely deliveries
• Process backorders efficiently
• Provide technical advice on parts compatibility and application
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of OEM and aftermarket product ranges

Skills and experience

• Previous experience as a Parts Interpreter/Advisor in a franchise dealership or aftermarket environment
• Strong understanding of automotive systems, parts numbering, and catalogues
• Proficiency with dealer management software and inventory systems
• Outstanding communication skills with the ability to build rapport with diverse clients
• A proactive mindset with a focus on problem-solving and achieving sales targets
• Clean drivers licence
