Hammer Hand
Our client is looking for an experienced Hammer Hand. This role is based in Rotorua, initial work will be site establishment with building to start in the New Year. Your core role will be assisting Carpenters and Builders with various tasks on site including:
- Helping construct and demolish buildings, building boxes and frames, and cladding
- Digging trenches and laying pipes and cabling
- Mixing and pouring concrete
- Moving equipment and building materials around site
- Preparing worksites, laying out tools and materials, loading and unloading delivery vehicles, and keeping the work area tidy
- Following health and safety protocols to create a safe work environment, including using personal protective equipment (PPE) and managing hazards on-site
Ideal candidates will have the following:
- Experience working on a construction site
- Own transport required, initially.
- Be able to operate all tools - both hand and powered
- Own tools required
- Be safety conscious and able to follow instructions
- Be able to work in with a wider team
- Be fit and able to handle hard physical labour
- Have an eye for detail
- Be able to pass Police Vetting
The successful applicant will be required to complete a Ministry of Justice check and pass pre-employment drug testing - you’ll need to be fit for work!
