Our client based in East Tamaki is a New Zealand owned and managed IT Service Provider. They provide a seamless combination of strategy, solutions, and managed services, so that businesses can outsource the service and support of their entire IT network, giving them the peace of mind to operate efficiently, tackle new challenges and grow to the next level. Their key focus is to deliver outstanding results to their clients, using leading tools, technologies, and methodologies.

They are looking to strengthen their Sales and Client management function, so are actively seeking to appoint an experienced Account Manager to manage and grow the relationships of a valued portfolio of SME clients.

This is consultative role, where you be will in regular contact with your clients, to ensure that their current IT support needs are being managed, and their future needs are planned for.

You will provide value-add support and identify opportunities to improve your client’s I.T environment, providing effective solutions, with a focus based on building long-term, sustainable client relationships.

Who we are looking for:
We envision this role being suitable for an experienced Account Manager with have a solid IT/ technical background and experience working in a Managed Service environment

The perfect background will be a blend of both technical capability and sales experience, so that you can hold credible sales conversations with clients and ensure that their technical requirements are met.

The Role:

  • Manage and nurture a portfolio of SME Clients
  • Deepen existing client relationships to enhance opportunities for high quality business outcomes and revenue growth
  • Manage a proactive call cycle, across all clients, ensuring regular communication
  • Conduct regular client reviews to ensure their satisfaction and that value is being added.
  • Preparation of proposals and solution quotes.
  • Upskill across solutions around infrastructure, cloud, security products and managed services.
  • Responding to client enquiry
  • Identify solutions to maximise revenue and present proposals for up-sell growth opportunities.
  • Collaborate with the projects team to funnel leads on any new projects.
  • Plan and manage individual client development plans and growth/sales strategy.
  • Manage proposals, contracts, and service level agreements.


About You:

  • Minimum 2-3+ year of experience in IT Account Management or Sales
  • A solid IT technical understanding, preferably at Level 1-2
  • Confident communicator. Engaging. Easy to relate to.
  • Proven ability to identify and capitalize on revenue growth opportunities.
  • Problem solver. Solution focused.
  • Highly organised with the ability to plan and manage a busy workload.
  • Enjoys contributing to and participating in a team environment.
  • Motivated, hardworking. Accountable.
  • Able to gain clear client agreement, commitment, and closure of new revenue gaining opportunities
  • Understands the SME space, preferably has worked in this sector before and knows how it operates

Ideally, our client would prefer the start date for this role to be in early/ mid-January, but open to a 2024 start date if this is not suitable.
