The Company:
Our client is a Kiwi company, created by Kiwis, for Kiwis. They are a professional, socially responsible debt collection company, founded on principles of fairness, trust and respect.

Their goal is to help Kiwis get out of debt. There are many reasons that people fall into debt and being able to receive the support to gain financial freedom, can be life changing.

Our client helps people on this journey. They work with their customers to help them climb out of debt faster.

The Role:
They are currently seeking a highly motivated and hard-working person to join their Internal Collections team. This is a phone-based role, where you will be taking calls and making calls with customers to talk to them about their unpaid debts.

It will be your job to talk to these customers and work out a repayment plan that they can afford that will eventually clear their debt. It will be a busy role and we are looking for those who will enjoy engaging with customers, but also realise they have targets to meet. There is a purpose for their call, not just for a good old chinwag.

About You:
The team is upbeat and energetic. They have a laugh; they work hard and play hard ….and have a whole heap of fun each day. They are proud of the work that they do and of the company that they work for. (It makes such a difference when they can tick these boxes).

But the role is fast paced, and you will need to enjoy talking to people, all day, every day….and they certainly don’t want to hire any slackers.

You! What will work:

  • We will ONLY consider those with phone-based work experience, eg: Phone based sales - Telesales, or previous phone based Collections experience.
  • Gift of the gab! Able to engage with all walks of life. (You definitely need this)
  • Has empathy and respect for others.
  • Keeps positive and keeps on smiling, even when there is a challenging customer conversation.
  • Able to engage with customers and work towards payment plans that will work for both parties.
  • Strong self-motivation. RESULTS ORIENTED. Proactive! Keen to achieve.
  • Social at the right times. Focused at the right times.
  • A good SOH and the ability to laugh at yourself.
  • You will need quick and accurate keyboard skills.
