We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Service Manager to lead our workshop operations in Whangarei.

The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in managing workshop teams, ensuring operational efficiency, and delivering outstanding customer service.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Workshop Management: Oversee and manage a productive and efficient workshop operation, ensuring the timely and high-quality servicing of motorcycles, farm bikes, and outdoor power equipment.
  • Team Leadership: Supervise and support a team of 4-5 direct reports, fostering a positive and motivated work environment.
  • Customer Engagement: Liaise with customers, manage bookings, and ensure exceptional service delivery from initial contact to job completion.
  • Administrative Duties: Handle invoicing, warranty claims, and ensure compliance with manufacturer guidelines and dealership standards.
  • Stock and Parts Coordination: Collaborate with the parts department to ensure the availability of necessary components for repairs and servicing.
  • Quality Assurance: Maintain high standards of workmanship and ensure all tasks meet safety and performance criteria.


About you:

  • Proven experience in a service manager, service advisor or workshop leadership role, preferably within the motorcycle, farm equipment, automotive, marine, or outdoor power equipment industries.
  • Strong technical knowledge of motorcycles, farm bikes, and outdoor power equipment.
  • Genuine desire to deliver first-class service in a fast paced environment.
  • Excellent organisational and time-management skills to balance operational demands and customer interactions.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong customer relationships and lead a team.
  • Familiarity with warranty claim processes and dealership operations is an advantage.
  • Full clean drivers licence.
  • Motorcycle licence (or willing to obtain)


This is a full time position working Monday - Friday 8am - 5pm and rostered Saturdays, 9am - 12pm. An immediate start is available and a competitive salary is on offer to the successful candidate.
