Key Responsibilities:
As a Commercial Analyst, you will play an instrumental role in fostering best practice accounting and supporting various aspects of the projects. You will be responsible for providing advice throughout the life cycle of a project, working closely with project leaders to prepare supporting documentation for fair variations. Your expertise will also be required in supporting commercial business partners with pricing and profitability analysis. This role requires someone who can implement contract mechanisms related to invoicing, reporting and budget changes effectively.
- Foster best practice project accounting including support to project governance, financial management plans, ERP & project delivery systems
- Support working capital management for the project(s) by focusing on areas of improvement
- Provide advice throughout the life-cycle of a project, including project reporting & controls, work breakdown structure, and earned value/revenue assessments
- Work with project leaders to prepare supporting documentation to secure fair project variations
- Support commercial business partners with pricing and profitability analysis to inform pricing decisions
- Implement contract mechanisms as they relate to invoicing, reporting and budget changes
Key Requirements:
The perfect candidate for this Commercial Analyst position brings a relevant tertiary qualification or significant knowledge and experience in project and contract management. A CPA or Chartered status is preferred but not essential. Strong written and verbal communication skills are key in this role, along with an understanding of our client's risk management process. The successful candidate will have proven resilience under pressure, maintaining professionalism at all times. They will also be results-oriented, creating their own measures of excellence.
- Relevant tertiary qualification or significant knowledge and experience in project and contract management
- CPA or CA qualification preferred
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
