My client, a locally owned and operated family businesses is seeking an experienced technician/mechanic to work on pumps and their control systems in the workshop and out in the field in and around Dunedin.
You will carry out planned and unplanned maintenance and repairs, servicing, and installations, delivering high standards of workmanship and customer service in an efficient and safe manner.
You will be highly personable with strong customer service skills as you will be out and about directly interacting with clients.
You will be a highly organised team player with a sense of humour (this is a must), have strong attention to detail & love problem solving.
The ideal candidate will also have diagnostic software experience and computer skills - as there is an administration portion to this role. You must be physically fit as the role can be physical at times.
Full time, Monday to Fri: 40hours per week (Enjoy weekends & evenings to yourself!)

This role offers on job training and development to further build on your existing mechanical/engineering skills.
The ideal person will have:
3-4+ years proven mechanical/trades/or fitter/turner experience
Hold at minimum a Class 1 Full NZ drivers licence (and can drive a manual)
Have good mechanical, diagnostic and problem-solving skills
Great customer service skills
Strong communication skills
Be health & safety conscious
Computer/administration skills
Persistence and confidence in their own judgement and capability
Ability to quickly adapt to changing circumstances, strong analytical skills and focus on quality of work
A self starter with an ability to work with a high degree of autonomy
