Mō te tūnga | About the role
The Delivery Advisor Operational Support provides critical strategic and operational guidance to the National Commissioner across regional areas. Responsibilities include providing essential information for responses to government and stakeholders, leveraging key relationships for strategic initiatives, managing risks in Tamariki and Whānau Services, and identifying and implementing improvement opportunities with robust monitoring. They collaborate closely with the National Support Services Team to ensure comprehensive oversight of regional risks and issues.
This position will enable the frontline to deliver Social Work Services by providing senior leaders information that will help them respond strategically to situations impacting social workers involved with the service delivery to Tamariki and Whānau.
Ngā pūmanawatanga ōu | What you will bring
Key requirements of the role include:
- A relevant tertiary qualification in social work or similar discipline is preferred.
- Knowledge and/or experience of contemporary issues in social services delivery.
- A sound knowledge and experience of statutory and public service process - including but not limited to OIA requests, Parliamentary questions, Ministerial responses, and media enquiries.
- Extensive experience working in the public sector in a strategic advisory role.
- Proven relationship management skills with an ability to influence and advise senior leaders on a range of issues.
- Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills, including correspondence and report writing.
- Understanding and appreciation of cross-cultural practices in particular; knowledge of tikanga Māori, and Pacific peoples' culture
