The Role | Mō tēnei tūranga mahi As a support worker, you will be responsible for ensuring the welfare and wellbeing of the guests you support. Our service provides mental health respite and social detox services for up to 4 people. This is a 24/7 service. You will be working during the night in a warm home where you can study, have a meal and will be supporting whai ora throughout the night.
In your role some responsibilities may include:
Cleaning and maintain a home, you will be responsible and support with ensuring cleanliness and tidiness of a home
Admin work
Medication support
Maintaining things like filing, first aid kits, emergency kits, preparation of paperwork
Supporting people regain their mental health and independence
This role is a permanent part-time role working Friday, Saturday 11:00pm-7:30am.
You | Mōu We are interested to hear from people who have a caring nature and work in a recovery and trauma informed way.
You must hold a current full driver’s licence
Hold a current first aid certificate or be willing to obtain one
Applicants must hold the New Zealand Certificate in Health and Wellbeing (NZCHW) or a recognised equivalent.
