Pace Power & Air Ltd is a family owned and operated company in Taranaki specialising in the sales, installation, service and hire of power generators, diesel engines, compressed air products, and industrial cleaning equipment.
We are New Zealand Distributors for premium equipment brands including JCB Power Products (Generators), JCB Power Systems (Engines), Kaeser Air Compressors and Karcher Professional cleaning equipment.
With an exciting future ahead in the Power Generation industry with the introduction of Hydrogen powered generators & an expanding product range, we require an experienced Service Technician to join and complement our service team in New Plymouth.
The work we carry out is diverse and varied, and rarely are two consecutive working days the same.
Typical tasks are including but not limited to the installation, repair, maintenance, and fault-finding on Diesel Generator Sets, Rotary Screw & Reciprocating Air Compressors, repairs and maintenance on Karcher industrial cleaning equipment and other mechanical and electrical maintenance activity across the region in a broad range of industries.
The role will be highly varied and involve working primarily on client sites across the Greater Taranaki region as well as workshop based activity.
Candidates with either Limited Electrical Licence (EAS/EST) or Full Electrical Registration is strongly preferred.
Essential Skills and Qualifications include:
- Mechanical and/or Electrical trade background
- Able to work in a team or unsupervised
- Diagnostic / Fault Finding capability
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills as you will be interfacing with customers & suppliers
- Full Class 1 driver's licence
- Physically capable and self-motivated with a can-do attitude
