Associate / Senior Associate Financial Markets Solutions

Mō te tūranga | About the Role
- A fantastic opportunity exists for an experienced Financial Markets professional to join our Solutions team at Westpac, where you will manage a portfolio of importers and exporters in Corporate business.
- As part of the Financial Markets Solutions team, you will be responsible for understanding our customer’s FX and Interest Rate exposures and requirements, to provide them with financial markets risk management solutions and execution support.
- You will work closely with the Corporate relationship managers to ensure Financial Markets are engaged with all customers with market risk and you will educate and inform a range of business partners to ensure they can access markets expertise and products.
- You will also provide customer and execution support for the FM Solutions team, primarily covering the Corporate and Business customer base to ensure a seamless customer experience for all FM solutions customers.
You will be responsible for:
- Proactively managing a portfolio of customers with currency exposures.
- Providing strategic risk management ideas and solutions to customers to help them manage Financial Markets risk.
- Educating and supporting business partners to ensure they understand how to access Financial Markets expertise and the products that are available to assist their customers with managing financial markets risk.
- Actively looking for ways to add value to your customer portfolio and sharing your knowledge and ideas with the broader team.
- Price, structure and execute foreign exchange transactions across a range of systems and platform, transacted via phone, email or online channels.
- Initiatives or projects relating to our complex FX customer base or the Financial Markets business.

- Demonstrate an understanding of FX products, deal systems and principles of FX risk management, to enable appropriate advice and education to customers and bankers
- Ability to form strong relationships with customers and internal stakeholders.
- Passion for providing an excellent customer experience.
- Excellent teamwork and communication skills.
- NZFMA Accreditation or relevant education and professional accreditation
- Advantageous but not essential, is an understanding of Interest Rate products and risk management solutions for large borrowers
