BestStart Rototuna is seeking a passionate and dedicated Qualified and Registered Teacher to join our passionate, tight-knit team. At BestStart Rototuna, we have an expansive and generous outdoor environment and we value the learning that can be done only in nature. By having open space where they are safe allows them to freely learn and explore. Being in nature is necessary for well-being and a generous outdoor space like ours can be calming and helpful when our tamariki are learning to understand their emotions.

This is a fixed-term position working 40 hours per week until 29th August 2025.

Role requirements:

Commit to making a difference in the lives of young learners with a team dedicated to excellence.

We are looking for the following:

  • B Ed/Dip Teaching Level 7 (ECE or Primary) and current teacher registration/certification
  • Good understanding of child-led curriculum, planning and extending on our children's learning
  • Demonstrate good knowledge of the current ECE Regulations, Te Whariki and hold compliance in a high regard
  • A strong commitment to Te Tiriti o Waitangi through pedagogical practices
  • Passion and commitment for teaching and learning with a focus on delivering quality
