Job Description
Te kōwhiringa | The Opportunity
Spotless holds 3 Contracts with the New Zealand Defence Force (NZDF) for the provision of Facilities Maintenance and Management Services. Our HVAC technicians play an integral role in delivering both planned and reactive maintenance work across a range of HVAC systems at site.
The HVAC technician will support Spotless operational delivery by:
- Actively engaging with and driving a Zero Harm culture.
- Working under the direction of your manager and undertaking HVAC systems maintenance work at your site.
- Supporting your site with solid technical solutions in the HVAC area.
- Assisting in the generation of, the costing of and the quoting of HVAC jobs.
- Working within the parameters relevant to the work, e.g. time, materials and cost.
- Promoting strong collaborative customer relationships and ensuring positive customer interactions.
- Managing risk and working in a safe manner.
- Ensuring your assigned works are undertaken in an efficient, safe and compliant manner.
- Delivering services in accordance with our Downer Group Values.
Nga pūkenga matua | Important Skills
- National Certificate in Heating, Ventilating and Air Conditioning (Mechanical Services) (Level 4).
- Minimum 2-3 years’ current experience within the HVAC industry, ideally in a maintenance role.
- Good understanding of Building Management Systems (BMS).
- Ability to confidently use a device or tablet to record work.
- A team player.
- Good customer service skills.
- Good verbal communication, ability to relate to people at all levels.
- Able to manage time and deliver in a pressured environment.
- Motivated, positive and outcome orientated.
