Job Description
AFFCO is currently seeking a motivated Systems Engineer to join their Head Office based in Horotiu, a short drive north of Hamilton.
You will join a team of IT professionals working across a broad range of different systems and areas of the business. The team provides support for all aspects of ICT across all of AFFCO including user support, hardware and software deployment and servicing, server and network infrastructure monitoring and the maintenance, planning and installation of new systems.
Reporting to the IT Manager, the Systems Engineer will be responsible for:
- User support (primarily complex technical support).
- Support, upgrades and maintenance for all systems including, but not limited to applications, operating systems, networks, telephony, Internet, CCTV, production systems, infrastructure, security and Azure.
- Provide support/assistance to other team members.
- Participate in the evaluation, installation, testing and roll out of new technology-based systems.
- Liaise with external parties for technical support, consultancy and advice.
Qualifications
The successful candidate will have the following experience, qualifications and skills:
- At least 2 years’ experience as a Systems Engineer.
- Experience in the IT industry.
- Experience in the manufacturing, food, or primary industries would be an advantage but is not a necessity.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
