Our Business and Small Business team are on the lookout for people across New Zealand to join our team, exceed customer expectations and help grow our market share.

As a Small Business Partner, you'll have the opportunity to not only showcase your talents, but also grow professionally with the help of a supportive and committed team. While as a Business Partner you will be a highly ambitious and motivated team player who is looking to progress in their career in a challenging exciting role!

You'll be working with some of our more complex business and small business customers, responsible for managing and growing a that portfolio of those customers, helping them achieve their goals, while also being out in market building relationships with future BNZ customers 

What does the day to day for a Small Business Partner looks like?

  • Manage a portfolio of new and existing small business customers, with the goal of enhancing customer satisfaction and credit risk profile. 
  • Be a trusted partner for clients by demonstrating an understanding of their business. 
  • Understand BNZ’s specialist offering and refer customers as appropriate. 
  • Create and maintain a proactive and structured call cycle and frequent contact with all customers. 
  • Maintain strong networking relationships with market advocates and stay up to date with industry activities. 


What does the day to day for a Business Partner looks like?

  • New and existing client meetings in the office or off-site in their business. 
  • Proactively developing relationships with new and existing clients. 
  • Growing relationships with local professionals and referral networks. 
  • Business Development activities in your local market  
  • Working through funding requirements to help our customers grow. 
  • Collaborating with a great team to support our customers’ goals

What attributes will make you successful? 

Proven lending experience and an understanding of business financials is preferred but not essential. You'll also demonstrate business development or previous experience acquiring new business. You’ll enjoy getting out into the Business community and forging long lasting relationships with new and existing customers as well as building strong relationships with your colleagues.

These roles can be based across Aotearoa where our Business and Small Business Partners will spend their time across BNZ Partners Centres and branches to be available for customers five days a week.
