Retail NZ is the peak body for retailers in New Zealand and are here to make the voice of retailers heard and make running a business easier. We help retailers succeed through providing advice, support, resources, templates and advocate on behalf of retailers throughout Aotearoa.

We currently have an interesting Membership Adviser opportunity available in our Central Wellington office.

You'll be responsible for providing excellent customer service, responding to member inquiries and ensuring a positive experience for all engagements. You'll proactively address customers needs and challenges, follow up on overdue subscriptions, and utilise your sales skills to cross-sell partner offers to customers based on their needs.

About you:

  • Previous experience in phone engagement in a business-to-business environment
  • Thrives working within a small team and engaging with customers
  • A self-starter and problem solver
  • Natural ability to listen, understand and offer assistance where required
  • Strong relationship management skills and excellent communication skills
  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
  • Computer literate and able to effectively use Microsoft Office Products and CRM software
  • Able to be the voice of our members at internal meetings
  • Understands the importance of following processes
  • Utilise sales skills to cross-sell partner offers to members based on their needs.
  • Ability to identify, engage and close new business opportunities when required


This is a full time role, 9am - 5pm. An immediate start is available.
