He angitūtanga / The opportunity:

We are looking for a Permanent Part-Time Catering Assistant to work at our site in Whanganui Hospital. Work a minimum of 20 hours per week.

Ko o kawenga / Your responsibilities:

  • Ensuring excellent customer service and patient satisfaction through the provision of meals and beverages to our patients.
  • You will be taking exceptional care of people by enhancing the overall dining experience while performing patient meal service.
  • This includes menu selection, tray assembly and delivery, general kitchen cleaning and temperature monitoring.
  • Experience in health care environment desirable but not required.
  • Delivering meals to patients in the wards

If you're our ideal candidate;

  • You will be hard working, with a friendly outgoing personality and a 'can do' attitude.
  • You will have strong verbal communication, reading and writing abilities, be able to interact with patients and staff congenially.
  • Ideally you will already have some experience working in a similar role and have great customer service skills.
  • You will have a caring and outgoing personality linked with a mature and responsible attitude.
  • Most importantly you will demonstrate a passion for food, customer service and quality.
