The purpose of the Information and Communications Technology (ICT) group is to work in partnership with the rest of the organisation to provide digital technology and communications solutions that support excellence in policing and service delivery and enable Police’s strategic ambitions.

With a primary hub in Wellington, and a presence throughout the country, we deliver new and enhanced solutions directly and through specialist vendor partnerships. We provide expert advice on how technology can be leveraged to support Police’s strategies and turn concepts into reality through collaborative development.

As a Microsoft 365 Administrator you will provide support to the Police staff through ServiceNow tickets. You will resolve technical issues that may occur with support from the wider Microsoft 365 support team. You will deliver a good customer service by providing the Service Desk with knowledge base articles as defects occur with fixes or work arounds to resolve issues quickly. You will have the opportunity to support the Microsoft 365 support team with evergreen changes and new features delivered from the product backlog.

Key Accountabilities:

  • Manage ServiceNow tickets related to M365
  • Collaborate with Senior Engineers to resolve complex problems
  • Break/fix of M365 issues across the organisation
  • Demonstrate excellent customer service and stakeholder management
  • Update and create knowledge base articles as required

  • Previous experience with the management of the M365 platform including Teams, SharePoint, OneDrive and Viva Engage
  • Highly developed communication skills with the ability to translate technical and non-technical information to a range of audiences.
  • Experience with ServiceNow and Entra ID would be an advantage.
  • Ability to work successfully in team environment while prioritising and managing your tasks effectively.

This role is based full time at RNZPC in Papakowhai, Porirua.

Utu ā-tau | Salary
This position is covered by a collective agreement and salary will commence between $87,306 and $91,353 dependent on skills and experience relevant to the role.
