The Company:
Our client is a widely recognised market leader in the Plumbing and Bathroomware industry, offering an extensive range of designer products that are both elegant in design, as well as being innovative and highly functional.

Supporting both residential and commercial markets, their products are marketed via Plumbing, Bathroom and Tile merchants. With their commitment to first class service, they are fast becoming the supplier of choice.

As part of the continued growth, they are seeking a passionate and dynamic NZ Business Development Manager / Account Manager to strengthen customer relationships, drive new business, and add value to their clients’ operations.

The Role:
This position offers a mix of new business development and account management, and will be suitable for an experienced sales professional, who thrives on building meaningful customer relationships, while hunting for new opportunities. You will work closely with existing customers to grow accounts and strategically prospect for new customers, primarily within the reseller market (e.g., Plumbing Merchants, Tile Resellers, Bathroom companies).

The ideal person will be a service-oriented salesperson, who prides themselves on the relationships they build with customers but is also equally comfortable putting on their Business Development hat, to target suitable new business opportunities.

The Role in more detail:

  • Proactively identify and acquire new business opportunities.
  • Actively visiting the customer bases, building long term relationships with customers
  • Develop and manage a robust sales pipeline, converting prospects into loyal clients.
  • Support and grow existing accounts, identifying opportunities to enhance brand presence and sales.
  • Provide in-store training and troubleshooting support for customers.
  • Primarily developing the reseller market (including Plumbing Merchants, Tile Resellers, Bathroom companies).
  • Represent the brand at trade shows and industry events.
  • Provide input into planning and sales strategies
  • Above all, being a positive ambassador for the brand


About You:

  • Proven sales experience, ideally within the bathroom, plumbing, or tile industry.
  • A high-energy, approachable personality that customers trust and enjoy working with.
  • Proven experience identifying new business growth opportunities.
  • Strong relationship management skills, ensuring proactive, positive customer contact.
  • Ability to support your clients with technical support and training sessions.
  • Good planning skill to manage a sales cycle that will cater for both existing customers, as well as developing new business.
  • Self-motivated and Self managing. You will not need your hand held, or to be “managed”.
  • A collaborative team player who contributes positively to company culture.
  • Able to travel nationally, as well as to Australia. (For training and 2x events per year)
