With a rising housing market and the forecast projection of a large growth period in residential and commercial construction in Auckland, we are looking to recruit from a wider market than our traditional sources within New Zealand.

We are in the market for experienced professionals from the building industry to fill 6 Building Surveyor – BWOF roles within our Building Inspection team. Our team is one of the largest in the Southern Hemisphere, servicing the largest single city population in New Zealand. You will be responsible for undertaking Building Warrant of Fitness (BWOF) audits of commercial properties, building inspections throughout the Auckland region and ensure that compliance with the relevant legislative and safety requirements are met. You will travel around the region and have the autonomy to make decisions and the support needed to follow through so that it is easy for our customers to do business with us. You will support clients from all sectors of the development community including builders, homeowners, architects, IQP’s and developers so that they have the right guidance and advice on building in a compliant manner.

As a seasoned Building Surveyor – BWOF, this is your opportunity to progress your career with the Building Consents department where you will promote a safe, healthy, and sustainable built environment across the Auckland region.

We're seeking candidates with a New Zealand Trade Certificate or equivalent in a related building industry discipline, coupled with proven experience in building, surveying, or inspection. Essential skills include excellent verbal and written communication, proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, conflict resolution abilities, and acute decision-making skills. A clean driving license are also prerequisite for this role.
