The role



Our Global Product Managers help drive the strategic direction and profitable growth of our various product portfolios. You will develop a deep understanding of the global competitive landscape and use your innate ability to take hard and soft data from multiple sources and turn it into genuine insights. You'll also work closely with Chief Engineers, Industrial Designers, our regional teams and General Manager of your Product Line to ensure the relevant product portfolio is consistent with the business strategy and goals for Fisher & Paykel Appliances.



This is a product focused role that needs someone who can establish and maintain strong links between the Product Development teams and our global sales and marketing teams. As part of the central Product Management team, you will liaise with our regional Product Management and Marketing teams to assist them with thorough understanding of products, as well as leading new product introductions to ensure we deliver a positive and timely impact in the market.



So that's the role. Who are you?



We are looking for someone who is not only passionate about products but has the proven ability to influence and lead across the business to ensure their commercial success. You will be experienced in dealing with multiple stakeholders to help compile business cases and briefs and to execute on agreed plans. You are comfortable operating in situations where there is some level of ambiguity and will inherently know how to extract and analyse information, and concisely present back to all relevant stakeholders. In time you’ll be seen as a trusted category expert, taking our vision and goals and understanding the role you need to play within that, and proactively create excitement to lever influence within the business to deliver great outcomes.



You'll thrive in a hands-on environment and will be great at influencing stakeholders across the business and throughout the product life cycle with great work, sound reasoning, and your natural collaborative style. On the technical side, you may have a bachelor’s degree in business or another field.



You are likely to have previous working experience in Product Management, Marketing or even in a product development role, but don't let us pigeon-hole you. A key component of what you have to offer is that you've got a genuine interest in the business and a passion for our product offering. Finally, while a certain level of aptitude is important to us, the right attitude is crucial.
