We are looking for a nurturing Registered Kaiako to join our team for a fixed term period! This is a full time 30 hour a week role for a fixed term period from January 2025 – January 2026, with opportunities to go permanent!
About us:
Busy Bees Douglas Street provides well-resourced learning environments, and our spacious and natural outdoor areas give tamariki the opportunity to freely explore and enjoy real grass, water play, a bike track, trees and real grass, to enjoy safe risk-taking and form caring friendships. In the warmer months tamariki can also enjoy swimming in the centres very own pool. We are located on Douglas Street in Whakatane, just round the corner from our McGarvey Road Centre, with both Allandale Primary School and Whakatane High School within walking distance from the centre.
Our ideal candidate will have:
- Huge reserves of enthusiasm and energy
- Competency in planning, curriculum and regular and emergent reviews
- A personality that builds and develops strong relationships with staff and parents/ whānau
- An ECE or Primary teacher qualification and registration as an ECE teacher in New Zealand
- A nurturing, caring disposition, and passion for supporting young children to thrive
- The ability to build and maintain responsive relationships with children and their whānau
- Excellent communication skills
