We have an exciting and pivotal leadership role within Busy Bees Aotearoa for a Regional Manager overseeing the Canterbury Region. This role will offer you a new challenge, significant variety and the reward of being part of an exciting innovative and people-focused organisation.

Are you ready to lead, inspire and guide our talented, and hard-working Centre Managers across the Canterbury Region? Do you have an impressive and comprehensive range of skills and knowledge in Early Childhood Education? Are you currently in a Regional Manager role or an experienced Centre Manager ready for the next progression in your career?

Your role as Regional Manager will require you to oversee the full operation of the running of several centres throughout the Canterbury Region, regarding compliance and staff development. You will use your previous expertise in a similar role to ensure the high standards of the centres are maintained and use your interpersonal skills to create an inclusive environment for children, families and staff.

The following skills, knowledge and capabilities are ideally required for this role:

  • An inspirational leader with an innate ability to develop, lead and coach a team to deliver best practice childcare services
  • Proven recent success in an educational management or leadership role with the ability to demonstrate an inclusive and collaborative leadership style
  • Familiarity with the New Zealand Education Council, ERO, MOE requirements, Licensing Criteria, 2008 Regulations and Code of Ethics
  • Ability to deliver compliance of policies and procedures and MOE Regulations
  • You will be open minded regarding change and be motivated to proactively focus on improvement
  • Superb communication skills both written and verbal with the capability of building strong and lasting relationships
  • Strong business acumen combined with financial competence to ensure budgets are met and maintained
  • A comprehensive understanding of how to maintain and grow occupancy levels across all centres to ensure optimum ratios
  • Innovative, resilient, committed, passionate and enthusiastic!
  • Full drivers’ licence is essential as you will be required to travel amongst centres
