About the Role:
We are brand new centre which opened in August 2024. We have had a wonderful start and as our centre occupancy is now growing, we are excited to be able to offer the provision of meals for our tamariki. Our centre philosphy is Growing Connections. Growing Community, which is something that we are living by as we grow where we are here in our local community. We are searching for someone who can provide fresh, nutritious, and delicious meals for our children each day. You will be joining a great team, who all enjoy a laugh. We are looking for someone creative who thinks outside the box and who is quick on their feet, flexible and enthusiastic and shows initiative. You will be working in a brand-new kitchen, and you will need to be efficient with your time and have an excellent knowledge of foods that promote good nutrition and healthy eating for our children. This is a permanent part time position working 30 hours Monday-Friday.
Role requirements:

- Knowledge around health and safety in the kitchen and set high standards of hygiene and housekeeping
- A passion for cooking and baking
- An understanding of allergies and dietary requirements
- Be computer literate in order to design menus and place orders each week
- The ability to remain within the budgets for ordering food
- A passion for promoting healthy eating for young children
