About the role | He kōrero whakamārama mō tēnei tūranga

The Rostering Coordinator - After-Hours is responsible for supporting the successful migration and implementation of a new rostering system across NZCL, which is the division of NZ Health Group providing specialised support to individuals with a disability, as well as their whanau. You will coordinate effective and efficient rostering of our Support Workers, ensuring the delivery of safe services to the people we support, taking ownership of the rostering processes to ensure Support Workers are rostered as per their competencies, availability and contracted hours.

  • Coordination of Service rosters through efficient scheduling practices
  • Provide accurate and timely information to services regarding their rosters
  • Effective use of client management systems (CMS) as per policy and procedure
  • Ensure staff availability is up to date on the CMS
  • Relief cover organised for Support Workers for planned and unplanned leave
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with support workers and managers
  • Manage sick and annual leave of Support Workers effectively


This is a permanent Part-time position based is in either Tāmaki Makaurau Auckland, Kirikiriroa Hamilton OR Ōtautahi Christchurch on the fixed roster below:

Tuesday 17:00PM - 21:00PM
Saturdays 06:00AM - 15:00PM
Sundays 06:00AM - 15:00PM

What You Will Bring | Ngā tohungatanga mō tēnei tūranga

  • Previous experience in scheduling/coordinating rosters using MS Excel or a Client Management System
  • Strong organisational skills required to establish priorities and meet deadlines
  • Excellent communication skills & listening skills, with the ability to build and sustain effective relationships
  • Confident computer skills, including MS Excel
  • Demonstrated commitment to the principles and practice of Te Tiriti o Waitangi
