With franchises in Nelson, Richmond and Motueka they are renowned for providing their customers with exceptional service and have a wealth of experience and knowledge in the automotive industry.

An opportunity now exists for a qualified Automotive Technician to join our team at Bowater Toyota in Motueka. Our workshop is busy (no time to get bored!) so the ability to thrive in a busy workshop is essential.

Alongside your qualifications and your mechanical aptitude what is REALLY important to us is your positive attitude and your desire to learn. If you don’t have Toyota qualifications or a WOF certification – we can help with that!

What you will be doing:

  • Diagnosing mechanical and electrical faults on Toyota vehicles
  • Repairs and maintenance on Toyota vehicles including oil and filter changes, testing cooling systems, transmission and gearbox repairs, fluid replacement, brake repairs, full suspension repairs and much more!
  • Warrant of Fitness inspections


To be considered for this role you will need:

  • To be a qualified Automotive Technician
  • Experience working with Toyota vehicles and Toyota qualifications will be highly regarded but are not essential)
  • WOF certification (highly regarded but not essential)
  • A “can-do”, proactive attitude
  • A full New Zealand driver’s licence
