- Provide governance support to the Chief Risk Officer and Risk Leadership team, through the compilation and review of risk committee meeting agendas and papers
We are seeking an experienced risk professional to quickly pick up the role responsibilities and thrive in this fast-paced role. The Line 2 Enterprise Risk team is focused on delivering high quality risk reporting and embedding bank wide risk frameworks, providing fantastic opportunities to work closely with stakeholders across the Bank and the Risk Leadership team.
Mo te tūranga | About the Role:
As the Enterprise Risk Manager, you will:
- Deliver accurate and timely risk reporting to Executive level Management and Board across a wide range of changing risk priorities.
- Support the effective operation of Executive level Risk Committees (Financial and Non-Financial Risk) through coordinating papers, preparing agendas and monitoring escalations and matters arising.
- Support the Senior Manager and Head of Enterprise Risk in the:
- development, implementation and reporting of ASB's risk appetite via management of the Risk Appetite Statement (RAS)
- embedment, tracking and reporting on progress for ASB's material risk initiatives through the ASB Risk Management Declaration (RMD)
- drafting of communications and governance papers for Enterprise Risk initiatives
- Work in partnership with stakeholders across L2 risk, including the Risk Leadership Team to leverage information sharing and relationships.
- Manage other risk management processes and deliverables across both Enterprise Risk and Operational Risk teams such as management attestations, policy reviews, Kowhai page management, control testing and other reviews.
- Additionally, you will actively seek opportunities within the Risk division to add further value.

- Experience with operational risk, compliance or regulatory frameworks in a financial services organization.
- Experienced in writing formal documents, e.g. reporting papers and policy documents.
- Ability to critically review and challenge data and written information.
- Strong conceptual and critical thinking, problem solving and analytical skills.
- Project management disciplines, including ability to manage to deadlines.
- High degree of emotional intelligence.
- Commitment to high standard of integrity and ethics.
- A process improvement mindset.
