About the Role:
Whether you are a newly qualified teacher or an experienced educator, if you have a passion for teaching young children, we want to hear from you. This is a permanent position working 40 hours per week Monday-Friday.
We are looking for a new Kaiako to work alongside our over 2-year-old tamariki, where tamariki are encouraged to explore and engage their curious minds while discovering more about the world around them. Kaiako support tamariki independence and self-confidence skills, both within our indoor and outdoor learning environments. Our Set for School program and our relationships with local schools help prepare tamariki for their transition to primary school.
Role requirements:
Commit to making a difference in the lives of young learners with a team dedicated to excellence. We are looking for the following:
- B Ed/Dip Teaching Level 7 (ECE or Primary) and current Teacher Certification
- Good understanding of child-led curriculum, planning and extending on our children's learning
- Demonstrate good knowledge of the current ECE Regulations, Te Whariki and hold compliance in a high regard
- A strong commitment to Te Tiriti o Waitangi through pedagogical practices
- Passion and commitment for teaching and learning with a focus on delivering quality
