As a member of the Line 2 Assurance Team, you will help deliver impactful reviews through valuable insights driven by data, utilising existing risk or audit experience to respond to heightened risk and compliance exposures in an agile manner.

The Line 2 Non-Financial Risk Assurance Team sits within the wider Operational Risk Team and plays an important role of ensuring ASB's risks are managed effectively and helping to deliver key strategic priorities across the Enterprise and Operational Risk Team that enhance risk maturity.
We are looking for an experienced Assurance Manager to join our Line 2 Assurance Team on a 12-month fixed term opportunity. As a Non-Financial Risk Assurance Manager, you will support the Line 2 Assurance team to:
Design and lead targeted risk-based assurance reviews across our business and deliver insights and recommendations which continually improve ASB's processes and control environment
Identify improvement opportunities and communicate these effectively to the business, using your problem solving and stakeholder management skills
Have a strong sense of integrity and a professional approach to deadlines and deliverables
Work in a dynamic environment and contribute to enhancing ASB's risk culture
Ō pūkenga | About you:
3 to 5 years' experience working in a Risk, Compliance or Internal Audit function within the financial services sector or equivalent experience in a professional services environment. Line 1 experience also preferred.
Experience in using data analytics to drive insights
A relevant qualification in a commercial, legal, risk or audit discipline
Sound stakeholder management, judgment and decision-making capability
Understanding of how a bank works and the regulatory challenges and risks the industry is facing.
The role will suit someone with an enquiring mind, strong analytical skills, and the ability to translate insights into actionable outcomes that can be confidently communicated to business stakeholders.
