Mō te tūranga | About the role
Westpac Mobile is on a journey to modernise our Mobile apps to provide an intuitive and beautiful customer experience.

You will work closely with the product team to understand the requirements and design solutions and will be responsible for the entire app development lifecycles from design to delivery, including development, quality assurance and delivery.

Ōu Pūkenga | About you

  • You’ll be working in our engineering teams to help work on our mobile application features and delivery.
  • You’ll be mentoring other engineers to increase their technical capabilities to improve overall capability of teams with different mobile technologies. 
  • You are passionate about delivering high quality applications by writing clean, maintainable and testable code that adheres to the best practices and coding standards.
  • You will contribute to our modernisation journey by looking into Code Development practices, Quality Practices and DevOps Practices for Mobile Apps.
  • You will be working on the quality assurance initiatives along with the quality team to ensure that the mobile apps are adhering to testing and quality standards.


Nā tāu rourou | What will you bring?

  • 7+ years of professional engineering experience in Mobile App Development.
  • Strong Swift programming skills. 
  • Experience in SwiftUI.
  • Experience in distributed systems architecture.
  • Experience in building complex systems in a team environment.
  • Good understanding of Quality Engineering Standards and Mobile Automation frameworks.
  • Objective-C and Java experience is beneficial.
  • Mobile DevOps experience with fastlane or gradle along with Jenkins is beneficial.
  • DevOps experience with the cloud CI/CD products is beneficial.
  • Good understanding of Apple Human Interface guidelines will be beneficial. 
  • Good team player and strong customer-focused attitude!
