Job Description

Waipapa Pine, part of Fletcher Wood Products, is a leading producer of high-quality sawn timber products. Due to our successful continued expansion of operations in the North, we are seeking a skilled Timber Machinist to join our fabulous team in beautiful Whangarei. If you are a skilled Timber Machinist this role could be perfect for you!


Responsibilities:

  • Operate timber machining equipment such as saws, planers, and moulders
  • Set up and adjust machines to ensure accurate cutting and shaping of timber products
  • Inspect finished products to ensure they meet quality standards
  • Maintain and repair machinery as needed


Requirements:

  • Previous experience as a timber machinist or similar role
  • Experience with timber machining equipment such as saws, planers, and moulders
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications
  • Attention to detail and a commitment to producing high-quality work
  • Good communication skills and ability to work in a team environment
  • Ability to work independently and take initiative
