About the Opportunity OneStaff Tauranga is hiring a Health and Safety Advisor on behalf of our client. This role requires a proactive professional to oversee workplace safety across multiple sites. You will play a key role in ensuring compliance, engaging employees in safety culture, and improving safety practices. Travel across the North Island may be required.

Key Responsibilities
Conduct site audits to ensure compliance with safety standards.
Implement and oversee Safety & Behavioral Observation Systems (SBOS).
Assist in incident investigations and implement corrective actions.
Ensure effective communication with internal teams and external clients regarding safety matters.
Resolve conflicts and de-escalate workplace challenges.
Conduct drug & alcohol testing to enforce a zero-tolerance policy.
Develop strategies for safety discussions during toolbox meetings.
Attend client Health & Safety meetings to align safety practices.
Ideal Candidate
Strong communication skills with the ability to engage across all levels.
A proactive approach to identifying and addressing safety concerns.
Self-motivated and capable of working independently.
Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
Strong problem-solving skills and ability to navigate complex safety issues.
A go-getter mentality, thriving in fast-paced environments.
NEBOSH IGC or equivalent certification in Occupational Health and Safety.
Additional Details
Work Schedule: Monday to Friday, 08:00 - 16:30 (flexibility required).
Occasional weekend work may be necessary.
