Our client is a long established Southland owned and operated construction company with their home base being Invercargill. They have a strong construction presence in a diverse range of sectors both inside and outside the Southern Region

Responsibilities

  • Plan and execute construction projects from start to finish
  • Read and interpret drawings
  • Ensure adherence to local building codes and safety regulations
  • Collaborate with architects and engineers to ensure project specifications are met
  • Maintain tools and equipment in safe working condition
  • Communicate effectively with management


Requirements

  • Proven experience as a builder/hammer hand in a similar role for a minimum of at least 2 years
  • Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, and legal regulations
  • Ability to read and interpret drawings
  • Excellent leadership and communication skills
  • Strong problem-solving abilities with attention to detail
  • Physical stamina and strength to perform manual labour tasks
  • Valid driver's license
  • Ideally you will also have some roofing experience
