Mercy Hospital in Epsom is currently undergoing its biggest redevelopment in a significant history dating back over 100 years. This includes the construction of an impressive new wing next to the existing hospital buildings that will see MercyAscot become the leading private healthcare facility in New Zealand.
Due to this incredible growth we are now seeking an additional Maintenance Officer to undertake general labouring and maintenance tasks at our hospital campus in Mountain Road, Epsom. Reporting to the Engineering Manager, you will be responsible for general maintenance activities including preventative maintenance using the appropriate equipment & tools.
This role is permanent full-time, Monday to Friday with flexibility on hours and will suit an energetic, practical and agile person, who can both plan ahead and think on their feet, to ensure Mercy's property and facilities are maintained with optimum safety and efficiency.
Day to day activities can include:
Preventative maintenance, grounds maintenance
Relocation of furniture, equipment and other items as directed
Provide manual support to the facilities team and hospital
Assembly of furniture
About you:
Experience as a Handyman, Labourer, Journeyman etc.
Industry experience in construction, facilities, maintenance or decorating or a caretaker role would be beneficial
Pro-active and uses initiative
Solid communicator - you'll be working with individuals across all our sites so friendly, customer focused communication skills will be a must
