Our client is located in Albany and is looking for a Wastewater Treatment Operator to monitor and maintain essential systems that protect our communities.
Key Responsibilities:
Monitor the Treatment Process
Maintain, operate, repair, and replace equipment as necessary
Maintain the treatment plant grounds and buildings (housekeeping tasks)
Using electronic devices to troubleshoot and improve processes.
Log and track your work and reporting
Experience & Skills needed:
Wastewater treatment experience or knowledge is preferred but not essential
Knowledge of how pumps work
Ability to take equipment apart and put it back together
Experience using small hand and power tools
Have a full Class 1 licence and can drive a manual as you will be given a vehicle to travel to jobs
Hours/days of work:
Monday to Friday
7.30 am to 4.00 pm
Due to the nature of the work and industry, there may be some overtime as and when required and some on call work may be required
Things to be mindful of:
The company is based on the North Shore but you will need to travel locally between treatment plants
This job involves working inside and outside of wastewater treatment plants
Due to the nature of this work, there will be noise and smell factors to be aware of.
Need to be fit as there will be a lot of walking
