Ko o kawenga / Your responsibilities:
- Supervise the kitchen in the absence of the Head Chef.
- Prepare, cook, and present food, ensuring quality control and portioning.
- Receive and store kitchen supplies, maintaining inventory and stock rotation.
- Maintain consumer satisfaction by exceeding expectations and gathering feedback.
- Apply catering control principles to minimize waste and ensure efficient food storage and processing.
He kōrero mōu / About you:
- NZQA Level 4 Certificate in Cookery or equivalent.
- Previous experience cooking in a similar environment and supervising staff.
- Ability to work under pressure while maintaining a positive outlook and professional manner.
- Team player with the ability to work autonomously.
- Good communication skills, physically fit, and reliable.
